I relocated to Kentucky over 20 years ago, after a nomadic childhood, and quickly adopted Florence as home.  Because my husband was a professional artist, I was surrounded by fine art and it naturally became an important part of my life.  As a young adult I turned to photography and enjoyed a brief career as a photographer.  After growing tired of portraits and a studio atmosphere, however, I decided it was best as a hobby while I focused on other pursuits.

I remained creative and explored different types of arts and crafts including Lego portraiture.  Using non-traditional media to create beautiful works of art became a preferred, if unexpected, theme in my work.

Over the last few years I've began painting with acrylics, incorporating found objects as an alternate method of applying texture and color to my canvas.  Simple household items like bottle caps, erasers and chopsticks have become assistants to my brushes.  Using my favorite quote as inspiration, my art is literally given a voice as I record and paint my own voice modulations…bringing them to life on canvas using simple items and a lot of patience!  Remember..."Always shoot for the moon.  Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars!"
